About The Position

The Lounge Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of the bar, following standard recipes. This role involves preparing cocktails, serving wine and beer, handling payments, managing inventory, and maintaining an appealing bar display. The bartender must also adhere to company policies, local laws, and regulations related to bar operations, including safety and identification verification. A key aspect of the role is supporting the company's core values and guest service philosophy.

Requirements

High school completion or an equivalent level of education and experience.
Current Food Worker’s and Liquor Server’s Permit (if applicable).
Demonstrate excellent public contact skills.

Nice To Haves

Bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer.
Collect money for drinks served.
Order and requisition liquors and supplies.
Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
Perform in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Perform in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations pertaining to the public operation of the hotel’s bar area, including maximum safe occupancy, emergency exit accessibility, smoke-free area maintenance.
Recognize in-state and out-of-state drivers licenses and state-issued identification cards.
Be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
Support and adhere to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
Perform all other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
