About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Member Relations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily member service activities, supporting team members and ensuring exceptional service delivery to members. The Member Relations Specialist assists with operational oversight, team member guidance, transaction accuracy, and maintaining compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while fostering a positive member experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in a financial institution: Member/customer service, Cash handling, Consumer loan processing
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing work schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage for member service operations to provide high quality service
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Member Relations Associates and Member Relations Officers
  • Serve as a Notary Public and provide notary services
  • Research and reconcile posting errors and member account discrepancies
  • Ensure all cash, checks, ATM transactions, and daily balancing activities are accurately processed and reconciled
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Monitor cash drawer and vault levels to ensure compliance
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Assist with team member coaching, training and development, counseling, and provide feedback on performance evaluations
  • Assist in supervision of team members in the absence of the management
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment while managing various expectations of members
