About The Position

TypeSafe is an AI lab developing System One Models, combining LLM reasoning with code reliability to build trustworthy AI. The company is a small team backed by an $870M Series A led by a16z. The Member of Technical Staff, Console (Full-Stack) will own the customer-facing console and playground, including enterprise features such as billing and organization management. The role combines product intuition and full-stack engineering to shape the console experience. The primary technology stack is Python, with TypeScript, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for frontend development and Kubernetes for orchestration. The team supports using helpful tooling, including AI and agents. The team works fully in person at its San Francisco office near Embarcadero station. Requirements

Approximately 2–7 years of experience as a strong full-stack engineer.
Excellent product intuition.
Experience shipping customer-facing products and strong care for craft and detail.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving problem spaces and find creative solutions.
Ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
Hands-on experience building with LLMs and understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
Enjoyment of owning problems end-to-end and considering how products are used in the real world.

Own product features end-to-end, from design and prototype through production.
Build polished, reliable user interfaces at enterprise scale.
Partner with product, design, and customers to translate real-world needs into product improvements.
Instrument, measure, and improve product quality, reliability, and performance.
Contribute across the stack wherever the employee can add the most leverage.
