About The Position

This position exists to serve our members at the Alabama Credit Union's Shoreline Branch in Mobile, Alabama. As a frontline role, a Member Experience Representative engages members by onboarding them, opening new accounts, and providing a relationship-building experience. They assist members with loan requests and financial transactions, including handling cash and negotiable instruments, while identifying opportunities for members to utilize additional Alabama Credit Union products and services. Duties involve accurately and efficiently opening accounts, processing basic financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, credit card payments, balance transfers, debit card and check orders), and providing information about products and services to meet members' financial needs. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy providing great service, honing sales skills, and helping people in their workplace and community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service skills
  • Cash handling experience
  • Good computer skills (including Microsoft Office products and web-based applications)
  • Ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening
  • Ability to describe and sell products and services to members
  • Ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to help others in your community
  • Interpersonal skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
