About The Position

Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination, offering a unique blend of boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities under one membership. We aim to provide an experience that members build their week around, combining the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full-service club. Our focus is on delivering a premium member experience in everything we do. The Member Engagement Associate is the first point of contact for members, shaping their entire experience. This role involves greeting members by name, making guests feel welcome, and setting a positive tone. The scope includes front desk duties, assisting with recovery services, and supporting the ProShop where applicable, all while maintaining an exceptional standard of service.

Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing, hospitality, or service role.
  • Warm, clear communicator who is comfortable with people of all backgrounds and energy levels.
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in the details of their work.
  • Comfortable with basic computer systems, check-in platforms, and member-facing software (training provided).
  • Available for a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually.
  • Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

  • Fitness or premium retail experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every person who walks through the door with warmth and presence, offering genuine attention that makes members feel recognized and valued.
  • Manage the check-in process efficiently and accurately, ensuring every visit is logged, every guest is registered, and all details are handled seamlessly.
  • Assist members with recovery services and ProShop needs, maintaining the same warmth and knowledge as at the front desk.
  • Learn and remember regular members' names, preferences, and routines to foster a sense of being known and encourage repeat visits.
  • Handle inquiries, account questions, scheduling requests, and concerns calmly, confidently, and in a manner that reflects Altea's values.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professionally presented front of house area throughout every shift to ensure a positive first and last impression.
