About The Position

HAPO Community Credit Union is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated individual to join their team as a Part-Time Member Connections Specialist in Richland, WA. This role requires embodying HAPO’s core commitment “Be in the Moment” and standard of service “Defy Expectations” with members, the community, and the team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent multi-tasking, written, and verbal skills, and be comfortable spending approximately 80% of their day on the phone. They should be capable of handling stressful situations and deescalating adverse member interactions. This is a part-time position averaging 22-25 hours per week, with a schedule that includes rotating Saturday shifts. Daily shifts are 4.5 hours and will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. A full-time availability (35-40 hours per week) is required during an initial training period of approximately 4 weeks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
• Banking and/or Call Center experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform member requested transactions accurately and completely.
• Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters.
• Have a full understanding of credit union products/services and look for opportunities to proactively promote them in accordance with the credit union's program standards.
• Answer 'back-to-back' calls with consistent exceptional service.
• Be receptive to frequent coaching on call recording.
• Handle multiple channels of communication at a high level, including calls, chats, emails, member inbox, and fax.
• Make informed decisions and exceptions to strengthen the member relationship while protecting the credit union.
