About The Position

The Member Care Representative I is responsible for delivering an excellent Member experience to current and potential Members. They provide a high level of personal service by consistently delivering an extraordinary experience through our signature service, FACES (Friendly, Accurate, Courteous = Excellent Service). The designation of this title has been established for an Employee who is entering into the financial services industry and is learning and developing in all of the basic job tasks of a teller. The MCR I will educate Members on a variety of products and services the credit union offers and perform essential job functions as described within the MCR I Job Functions and Responsibilities in the attached job description. This role involves working with Members and teammates to meet and exceed individual and Credit Union goals. The suitable candidate has a high level of ethics, good judgement, and common sense, while understanding the importance of following credit union policies and procedures. They must enjoy a fast-paced work environment and thrive on delivering quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Previous experience providing product recommendations and referrals
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously with a calm, friendly demeanor
  • Demonstrate detail orientation
  • Proven ability to consistently report to work, on time, as scheduled
  • Consistently demonstrates professional manner and attire
  • Ability to learn new systems, policies and processes quickly
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Candidates must be eligible to be bonded through a fidelity bond to cover employee loss and risk

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with cash handling and balancing a cash drawer
  • Previous Teller experience
  • 1 year of experience in customer service

Responsibilities

  • Working with Members and teammates to meet and exceed individual and Credit Union goals
  • Following credit union policies and procedures
  • Occasional business travel to/from the corporate office and coverage for other branches may be required
