About The Position

Canopy Credit Union is looking for a purpose-driven individual to join their creative community as a Member Advocate II. The position is located at the Downtown Branch and offers a wage of $23.83 - $28/hr + incentives, with a $1.00/hr wage premium for bi-lingual employees. Requirements

  • Minimum of six months to two years of related experience (sales, retail, financial).
  • Proficiency in the use of a 10-key calculator.
  • Typing skills required.
  • Good PC skills are a must.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with a wide variety of services and advise on how best to utilize credit union products and services to meet personal financial goals and provide the highest quality member service.

  • Interview loan applicants in person and by phone, gathering required information for credit applications, explaining loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements, providing general and specific loan information, and disbursing funds accordingly.
  • Open various new accounts, process necessary information, and educate members on available services/products.
  • Assist members with opening Term Shares and educate them on penalties, earnings, etc.
  • Conduct and cross-sell financial coaching sessions as needed.
  • Actively promote marketing efforts, help evaluate the effectiveness and quality of service delivery, and make recommendations.
  • Follow up with members at specified intervals after membership opening or loan booking.
  • Maintain a high attention to detail to ensure the quality of work with member accounts, loans, and other member services.
  • May travel locally between branches based on assignment from the Branch Manager and branch needs.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
