About The Position

The Melt-Cast Shift Supervisor is a key member of the leadership team who models Nucor’s culture and leads safe, efficient operations. This role is responsible for developing teammates, overseeing production and maintenance activities, managing projects, handling administrative duties, and ensuring clear communication across the shift. The position requires a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• Three years of leadership experience
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
• At least two years of steel manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

• Two or four-year technical degree
• At least two years of melting and/or casting experience with an understanding of the steelmaking process
