Melt Shop Mechanical Technician
About The Position
The role of the Mechanical Technician consists of providing preventative maintenance support and day-to-day repairs to support mill operations. This includes basic knowledge of cooling, lubrication, and environmental control systems, overhead cranes, equipment alignments, water treatment, welding, and fabrication. The technician must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and be willing to learn the position of Millwright with the expectation to apply for all department shift millwright positions. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Basic hydraulic skills
- One year industrial maintenance experience
- Basic piping and plumbing skills
Responsibilities
