About The Position

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking a Melt Controller. The Melt Controller plays a critical role in the metal casting process by safely converting raw materials into high-quality molten metal while maintaining precise temperature and chemical specifications. This position is responsible for furnace operation and maintenance, metal chemistry adjustments, pouring preparation, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the melting process.

Requirements

Ability to convert raw materials into liquid metal at temperatures exceeding 2800 degrees.
Ability to control the quality of the metal, including chemical and temperature.
Ability to adjust metal chemistry to meet specifications.
Ability to maintain the furnace, including daily patches, repairs, and relining the refractory.
Ability to record pouring temperatures.
Ability to prepare pouring ladles for daily use.
Ability to pour metal into ladles.
Ability to take direction from supervisor.
Understanding of temperature controls.
Ability to assist with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces and ladles.
Ability to perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.

Recording pouring temperatures.

Pouring metal into ladles.
Taking direction from a supervisor.
Understanding temperature controls.
Assisting with the cleaning and maintaining of furnaces and ladles.
Performing all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
