About The Position

Innovative Reasoning, LLC is recruiting for a MEF Training and Exercise Analyst, providing subject matter expertise in support of II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) G-3/7. This position will be responsible for studying, and to analyze, provide advice, research, and develop deliverables through the application of knowledge and resources in achieving the II MEF mission requirements.

  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of common commercial computer applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of documents, charts, graphs and briefing materials and devices/equipment (tablets, smartphones, ) to present and execute training.
  • Honorably discharged (DD-214 with the Characterization of Service and MOS, verification required), prior Staff Non-Commissioned (SNCO) or above, in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and availability of private transportation may be required for some positions in this job class (mileage expense allowance provided).
  • Comply with Safer Federal Workforce Standards.
  • Must be able to obtain a Contractor's Common Access Card, which will stand as identification for instructors and will enable them to access government owned computer equipment and non-secure Internet Protocol (NIPR).
  • Currently possess an active U.S. Secret level security clearance with NATO Read-In and can obtain a Secure Internet Protocol (SIPR) access token with access to government SIPR computers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical research and analysis, recommendations, implementation, assessments, and methods to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance II MEF personnel and equipment survivability against current and emerging garrison or deployed threats.
  • Provide analysis and produce survivability-based reports; briefs; documents; presentations; conduct continuity and crisis action planning; deliver feasibility studies; and recommended plans to II MEF.
  • Develop recommendations to enhance the survivability of the conventional force through force sustainment, training, and integration with other services, agencies, joint, and coalition forces.
  • Provide support to II MEF simulation, wargaming, exercise(s), and other training programs and events.
  • Enhance the Commander’s decision cycle through the organization, utilization, and integration of command-and-control systems and information / knowledge management systems, safeguarding the flow of data and information.
  • Analyze the design of military exercises (staff exercises, command post exercises, and field training exercises) through integration of command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence systems, joint and service level simulation systems, and the provision of master scenario event lists for United States Marine Corps, joint, and multinational training exercises, and events.
  • Based on analysis, provide recommendations for the proper execution and the effective utilization of equipment and forces in the exercises necessary to reduce vulnerabilities, increase survivability, project lethality, and increase mission effectiveness across the spectrum of conflict and conflict support.
  • As required, attend planning conferences, working groups, and site surveys, to gather data, plan, and provide recommendations on trends and events related to wargaming, exercises and other training programs and events compiled in summary reports.
  • Develop recommended exercise scenarios and produce operational products for the exercises, to include basic orders with annexes and appendices, for planners and mission essential task list based training consistent with Marine Corps planning process.
  • Develop plans, reports, and documents to enhance wargames and exercises which provides the participants with experience in real world, challenging scenarios.
  • Produce a detailed exercise after-action reports that describes the strengths and weaknesses of the exercise and recommendations for improvement which would hone leadership decision-making skills and allow participants to better react to threats faced on the battlefield.
  • Provide assessment of operational planning and coordination conducted to include participants, themes, topics, main discussion points, results, and recommendations to support coherent and efficient employment of limited II MEF resources that enable better survivability of future force employment.
