About The Position

The Medication Technician in Assisted Living at Heritage Greens is responsible for delivering quality care by encouraging residents’ independence and supporting their physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. This is a part-time position scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., including every other weekend. Compensation is $18.50 or more per hour, depending on experience. The role includes assisting residents with everyday needs and activities, providing companionship, responding to emergencies according to policies and procedures, and documenting care. The Medication Technician also contributes to keeping individual service plans current and regularly reviews 24-hour reports and care checklists.

Requirements

Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) or PCA and a MedTech certificate are required.
Completion of a nursing assistant course is required.
Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
First Aid certification and CPR may be required.
A high school education or GED equivalent is preferred.
Bring a positive attitude to work and be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations.
Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
Document care provided to residents.
Provide input to help keep resident individual service plans current.
Regularly review 24-hour reports and care checklists.
