About The Position

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a full-time Medication Technician for the evening shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM), with every other weekend required. This role involves assisting residents with medication administration, maintaining care records, reporting changes in resident conditions, and ensuring resident safety and satisfaction. The company offers a sign-on bonus of $1,000 for full-time hires, payable after 30 days. They are also looking for per diem Med Techs to cover vacations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid Medication Aide/Technician Certification
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Successfully complete training as required and in accordance with state regulations
  • Minimum of one year experience working with medications and the elderly population
  • Possess all required licenses and/or certifications if required by State licensing authority and maintain continuing education requirements
  • Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks

Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering medications to residents following company regulatory guidelines.
  • Keep proper care records.
  • Report any changes in resident’s conditions.
  • Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
