About The Position

Colonial Garden, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for full-time overnight medication administration and resident care oversight in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. The role is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and requires experience. Team members can use Tapcheck, a mobile app that provides access to earned wages before payday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
Experience is required.
Effective written and oral communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to work safely in an environment caring for seniors without posing health or safety risks.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Promote and protect residents’ rights, treating residents with dignity and respect.
Attend in-service and educational programs and complete continuing education as required by state regulations.
Remain calm and professional under stressful conditions.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Follow the community dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
Complete documentation accurately and informatively.
Promptly report changes in a resident’s condition to supervisors.
Complete assigned tasks and schedules according to community policies and procedures.
Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which training has been provided.
Consistently implement infection control practices.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations appropriately.
