About The Position
The Ivy of McKinney Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate PRN Medication Technician to provide as-needed coverage across all shifts at its onsite McKinney, Texas location. The role supports residents by administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with prescribed schedules, dosage instructions, state regulations, and community policies. Training is provided. The Med Tech documents medication administration and maintains resident medical records, monitors residents for changes in health, and communicates with the care team and families. The position also involves providing compassionate care and helping maintain a safe, clean environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through speaking, reading, and writing.
- Empathy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work flexible PRN shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a background check and required health screenings.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to residents’ changing needs.

- Prior caregiving experience.
