About The Position

Akumin is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for its Tri-City facility. This PRN position produces high-quality diagnostic images for Nuclear Medicine studies, with careful attention to radiation safety and regulations, proper documentation, and appropriate techniques when working with patients and radioactive materials. The technologist is responsible for patient safety, including screening for contraindications and using aseptic injection techniques, and communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and radiologists as needed. The role may include training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. Ability to work at several locations and local travel may be required. COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment. Candidates who accept an offer must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations; local travel may be required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
