About The Position

Navion is seeking Certified Medication Technicians with experience as a Resident Aide for medication administration-related roles. The Medication Technician delivers high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. This is a full-time position at The Reserve at Mills Farm, with hiring for first- and third-shift work every other weekend. The community has partnered with Tapcheck, a mobile app that lets team members access earned wages before payday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course and test.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience or certification.
• Ability to communicate adequately in writing and orally, including effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
• Remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
• Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which prior training has been provided.
• Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures.
• Report safety violations.
