The pay for this role is $27 per hour Do you have a passion for people, and are looking for a reliable, enjoyable time role where you will be valued? If so, we can’t wait to talk with you! We have an exciting opportunity at Skyline, a Transforming Age community. Our Medication Technician/Aide: Prepares and passes medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects or problems to supervisor or physician. Documents administration or refusal of medication in required format and style. Maintains documentation and communication log in accordance with required procedures, using electronic system when appropriate. Reorders meds as needed, following appropriate protocols. Following medication policies and procedures is responsible for the delivery, ordering, re-ordering, storage, documentation and destruction of medications. Insures that medication is available when needed through on time refills. Orders labs as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a WA State Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
  • Successful completion of Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in state, as required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in long term care, home care, or a related field.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre-employment physical).

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
