Responsible for enhancing and improving the SRIM experience specifically in the Heartful Care for our residents and their families. This role involves supervising the self-administration of medication, assisting with daily living activities, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry, while encouraging resident independence. The Medication Technician will interact with residents, observe and report changes in their health and well-being, serve residents in the dining room, and initiate/participate in leisure activities. A key aspect of the role is maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment, ensuring a dignified and caring atmosphere, and responding promptly and courteously to resident requests. The position requires effective communication, maintaining a safe and secure working environment, practicing good body mechanics, and reporting safety hazards. The Medication Technician is expected to be essential personnel during emergencies and work collaboratively as a team player with a positive and respectful attitude. Compliance with attendance policies, participation in training, and adherence to the dress code are also required. The role involves refraining from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors, referring inquiries to the supervisor, and complying with HIPAA regulations. Additionally, the position includes assisting with training and mentoring new employees, taking initiative in work, seeking additional information, offering solutions, and willingly taking on special projects. Housekeeping and laundry duties are also part of the role, along with performing all other reasonable duties as assigned.
