About The Position

Supervised by a Registered Nurse, the medication refill coordinator guides our patients through a seamless process to ensure that their medications are refilled in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year in an outpatient care setting preferred.
• Demonstrate a basic level of computer proficiency
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and diverse patient populations.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assisting or Medical Secretary in an outpatient medical practice setting preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient service according to the community standards for outpatient care, Family Medicine protocols/procedures, hospital standards, and professional nursing standards of practice.
