About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Partner to join our team at Parkway located at 550 NE Napoleon Drive, Blue Springs, MO 64014. This part-time position offers a starting wage of $18.25 per hour and involves ensuring the proper administration of medication, maintaining medication carts, and assisting residents with activities of daily living. We are looking for individuals who embody empathy, generosity, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. The role requires a professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age, appropriately certified per state guidelines, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have computer skills for basic documentation. The position requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting residents with mobility and after falls. A criminal background check and health screening are required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be appropriately certified per state guidelines and certification is active and in good standing.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Professional in appearance and conduct.
  • Mature interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers.
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper administration of medication.
  • Maintain medication carts and proper recordkeeping.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
