Requirements

  • LPN or RN
  • CPR and First Aid certified

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in chemical addiction.
  • Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other standard clinical devices.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to act independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Administer methadone as prescribed, ensuring safe dosing.
  • Evaluate and assess new and existing patients to help determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
  • Observe patients after medication administration and assess their response to treatment.
  • Collect and document urine specimens and monitor lab work and physicals.
  • Create a welcoming, respectful environment where every patient is treated with dignity and compassion.
  • Help ensure the treatment center meets all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure medications are received, stored, and handled in accordance with DEA regulations.
  • Prepare courtesy and vacation dose packages with accuracy.
  • Keep patient dosing records complete, organized, and up to date to support continuity of care.
  • Help onboard and mentor new nursing team members, sharing knowledge and supporting their success.
  • Earn phlebotomy certification when required and continue building your clinical skills through ongoing learning.
  • Collaborate with counselors, nurses, and the broader care team.
