About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a full-time Medication Assistant to support residents in assisted living and potentially Memory Care. The role has a variable schedule and requires weekend availability. The Medication Assistant helps residents with medication needs and activities of daily living, responds to requests and emergencies, and supports resident safety and well-being.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and order medications and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, and wound care.
• Communicate with outside health care professionals as necessary.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.
