Medication Aide (CNA required) - Day - Part-Time - Eventide Lincoln Care Center
About The Position
Eventide Lincoln is currently hiring for a Part-Time Medication Aide (MA40) for a Day shift 6a-6p (12 Hours). This position has an every third weekend and holiday rotation. The scheduled days for this position are SU-F-SA. Tabitha is now Eventide. The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license. The ideal candidate is 18 years of age or older, has a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, and 6 months of experience as an aide or caregiver preferred. Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40 include preparing and administering medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
Requirements
- Active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
- Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
- Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
- Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
- Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
