About The Position

Astoria Senior Living, an Agemark Senior Living community in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medication Aide to care for seniors and build meaningful connections. The role involves administering medications according to physician orders and residents’ care plans, maintaining accurate medication records, observing residents’ well-being, and supporting residents’ daily needs while protecting their dignity and independence. The Medication Aide also builds relationships with residents, families, and team members and contributes to a positive, supportive environment. Requirements

• Meet Nebraska’s applicable Medication Aide certification, training, and registry requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and team members.
• Follow medication procedures carefully and maintain accurate documentation.
• Have basic computer skills to use electronic systems for medication tracking and documentation.
• Have a genuine interest in helping older adults live their best lives.
• Be dependable and available to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders and residents’ care plans.
• Clearly and accurately document medication administration.
• Observe residents for changes, side effects, or concerns and report them promptly.
• Assist residents with personal needs while protecting their dignity and independence.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Bring compassion, patience, and positive energy to each shift.
