About The Position
The Medication Aide assists and/or administers medications to residents as prescribed by a physician. The role documents medication-management information, notifies an LVN/LPN of negative medication reactions, assists with or manages medication refills, and updates records as necessary. The shift is 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the position is part-time.
Requirements
- Experience as a caregiver.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework or training in medication administration; not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist and/or administer medications to residents as prescribed by a physician.
- Document all medication-management-related information.
- Notify the LVN/LPN of negative medication reactions.
- Assist with and/or manage medication refills.
- Update records as necessary.
