About The Position

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, part-time Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to deliver care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The Medication Technician communicates medication-related questions, concerns, and discrepancies to the Resident Care Director (RCD), and reports significant changes in residents’ mental or physical status. The role includes documenting supervision of self-administration in the medication administration record (MAR), documenting and notifying the RCD about PRN medication administration, and recording the effects of PRN medications. The Medication Technician also recognizes and assists in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Requirements

Hold a state Medication Technician license and demonstrate competency in drug administration in accordance with the state-approved protocol.
Successfully complete a medication technician competency review quarterly, supervised by an RN or RCD.
Have CPR certification or be able to obtain it within six months of hire.
Complete a state-approved drug-administration training course and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.
Have current nursing assistant certification or have successfully completed a certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
