About The Position

Centurion is seeking a Full-time Medication Aide Level 1 to join their team at Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston, Missouri. This role involves administering medications as prescribed and documenting their effectiveness and any adverse reactions or side effects, under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide.
• Insulin certification.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed.
