About The Position

Centurion is seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide Level 1 to join their team at Missouri Eastern Correctional Center in Pacific, Missouri. This role involves administering prescribed medications and documenting their effectiveness and any adverse reactions or side effects, under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation.
• Must maintain active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.

Nice To Haves

• Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide.
• Insulin certification.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed.
