About The Position
The Medication Access Program Pharmacy Technician collaborates with pharmacists to process medication donations at Ohio’s first medication repository and distribution center. The position helps implement safe, effective, and efficient procedures for receiving and distributing donated medications to improve access for people served by Ohio’s Charitable Healthcare Network of free clinics and charitable pharmacies. The staff member primarily works in a warehouse in Milford, Ohio.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience in data management.
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting.
Nice To Haves
- Certified or registered pharmacy technician preferred. Candidates without certification may receive on-site training, with a requirement to pass the pharmacy technician examination within 18 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to process medication donations from long-term care pharmacies, nursing homes, and individuals, including sorting, inventorying, and cataloguing donations.
- Assist in coordinating medication distribution to fulfill medication orders from Ohio’s free clinics and charitable pharmacies.
- Participate in quality improvement processes to further advance program goals.
