About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical writer based in the USA to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working on a fast-growing publications account that focuses on cutting-edge developments in oncology and/or hematology. Our core expertise is developing accurate and engaging scientific content, and delivering that through a variety of communication channels for maximum reach and impact. Our teams have developed an excellent reputation with our clients for the quality of work that we deliver. As a result of this success, Amiculum is looking for an experienced medical writer with a passion for publications who enjoys building positive long-term relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping to drive organic growth.

Requirements

A strong academic background in life sciences
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a medical writer supporting publications in a healthcare communications agency
Excellent storytelling abilities – a creative thinker who enjoys transforming complex science into clear, accurate and engaging content
Strong editorial skills and excellent attention to detail
The ability to be engaging and confident in verbal communication
Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and working as part of a team
The ability to keep calm under pressure, work on multiple projects in parallel and meet agreed deadlines
Confidence to make decisions and drive projects forward
Must be based in the USA and have the right to work there
Candidates must be based in Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, or Texas.

Responsibilities

Development and delivery of high-quality scientific content on a fast-paced and growing global publications account
Providing clients with a high level of scientific expertise on medical communications projects, with a focus on publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts
Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of other medical writers
Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and the wider therapy area
Ensuring quality and consistency across multiple deliverables
Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
Identifying opportunities to grow a contemporary publications account and actively participating in idea generation
