About The Position

The Medical Writer II will be responsible for writing and adapting disease-state education (DSE) content, both branded and unbranded, for HCP-facing digital platforms, infographics, and field materials. This role will also support payer- and managed-markets-facing content in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the Medical Writer will provide light publications-adjacent writing support, such as encores and derivative or abstract-based content, as needed. The position requires authoring content in accordance with medical/promotional review (MRC/PRC) standards and incorporating reviewer feedback through formal review cycles. The Medical Writer will work with project management to maintain a content calendar for timely delivery of new platform resources. Key responsibilities include interpreting and translating scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate content, and contributing to the team's growing omnichannel and modular content capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; terminal scientific degree preferred.
  • Background in Neuroscience or Nephrology required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years previous experience as a medical writer.
  • Experience finding, reading, interpreting, and presenting scientific and clinical data.
  • Experience with graphic design.
  • Experience with reference management and copyright permissions.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Working knowledge of a content/document management platform (e.g., Veeva Vault) and medical/promotional review workflows.
