The Medical Value Director is a field-based Medical Affairs role responsible for scientific exchange and insight generation with external stakeholders, with a primary emphasis on engaging payer and reimbursement audiences (national and regional health plans, PBMs, and Medicaid). The role delivers fair-balanced scientific and clinical presentations, supports payer evidence needs through coordinated insights, and enables reimbursement readiness through development and maintenance of payer-facing scientific materials. The incumbent is also a resource to company management regarding market dynamics, business development, and client feedback. In this payer-focused capacity, the incumbent delivers fair-balanced and objective scientific presentations, develops and maintains payer scientific materials (e.g., payer decks and Letters of Medical Necessity), gathers payer insights, and partners closely with US and Global Market Access, HEOR/RWE, and internal Medical stakeholders to translate payer evidence needs into actionable strategy. The incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on Medical Affairs related issues. The Medical Director supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
