About The Position
The Medical Transcriptionist will provide transcription support within a Pathology/Laboratory setting using oral dictation and voice-recognition software. Services will be provided according to Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service coverage requirements and established laboratory work schedules.
Requirements
- Appropriate experience working in a Pathology/Laboratory environment or equivalent medical transcription experience.
- Experience transcribing medical information from oral dictation.
- Ability to use voice-recognition software for medical transcription.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain medical transcription documentation.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe pathology and laboratory documentation from oral dictation.
- Review and process documentation generated through voice-recognition software.
- Prepare accurate transcription records for assigned laboratory services.
- Maintain and organize transcription documentation according to laboratory procedures.
