About The Position

The Medical Technologist serves as a technical consultant and direct supervisor of laboratory personnel, managing the performance of all laboratory testing. This role involves developing and maintaining policies, standards, and quality control practices, as well as overseeing laboratory safety and maintenance.

Requirements

• Certification and relevant experience in medical laboratory technology.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory practices, safety standards, and quality control methods.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise laboratory personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of laboratory personnel and management of laboratory testing performance.
• Development and maintenance of policies, standards, and quality control practices to ensure accuracy and reliability in laboratory results.
• Overseeing laboratory safety protocols and maintenance to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Serving as a resource for laboratory staff in the assigned section, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensuring that the laboratory meets all accreditation requirements and adheres to applicable OSHA standards.
