Medical Technologist -Per Diem

About The Position
Good Samaritan University Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, is a non-profit 537-bed teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center serving patients across Long Island’s south shore. The Medical Technologist performs clinical laboratory testing and obtains data used in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disease. Testing may include biochemical, microscopic, blood bank, and bacteriological work. This is a per-diem position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related science from an accredited school.
- NYS Department of Education licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology.
- One-year internship at an accredited hospital or one year of practical experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
