About The Position

The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems and performs and interprets laboratory tests used in the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, with eligibility for an appropriate certification examination; or an accredited associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology plus certification; or graduation from a qualifying military science program plus certification; or grandfathered technologist qualification obtained on or before February 28, 1992, plus current certification.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, and HHS (HEW).
• One year of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening test.
