Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Biological Science, or a related field and five years of progressive experience as a Medical Technologist or related.
• Requires a Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (or eligible).
• Must possess experience with clinical laboratory testing including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and clinical chemistry; and troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of analyzers and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures in all areas of microbiology.
• Process patient samples and perform laboratory tests for bacteriology, serology and molecular diagnostics.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
• Review pending logs and result logs.
• Result any outstanding workload.
• Perform quality control procedures.
