About The Position
Responsible for the procuring and processing of laboratory specimens and reporting results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; participates in quality assurance and adheres to quality control practices in the Laboratory.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology
- Completed a Medical Technologist internship at a qualified medical facility
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Operates current Clinical Laboratory equipment correctly and safely. Examples: automated cell counter, automated chemistry equipment, microscope, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Medical Technologist in the following specialties; blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and serology/immunology
- Certification preferred
- Additional languages are helpful
