About The Position

The Medical Technologist collaborates with multidisciplinary team members in a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging environment to provide timely and accurate laboratory results that support excellent patient care. This full-time role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is a 46-bed acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas, providing services including emergency care, advanced surgery, imaging, and labor and delivery. The hospital welcomes the skills and talents of all groups and strives to build a workforce that reflects the communities it serves.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• For individuals educated outside the United States, an education equivalency statement from a business dedicated to providing this service that demonstrates equivalence to the stated education requirements.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Technologist, or eligibility for certification or registry.
• ASCP certifications received after January 2004 and AMT certifications received after January 2006 must be kept current through continuing education as required by the respective associations.
• Certified Medical Technologist work experience.
