About The Position

This role is responsible for performing accurate and timely diagnostic testing to support quality patient care. Requirements

Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field – Required
Active State of Florida Medical Technologist License – Required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist
Generalist experience strongly preferred, including: Blood Bank Serology Chemistry Hematology Microbiology

Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing within established turnaround times
Execute STAT testing procedures efficiently
Analyze proficiency testing samples according to required standards
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient results
Perform quality control procedures in accordance with established protocols
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with laboratory specimens and test results
Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Interpret and correlate patient results using independent judgment
Perform delta checks and validate test accuracy
Review pending and result logs; resolve outstanding items or communicate effectively during handoffs
Assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of operations
