About The Position

St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia, is hiring a full-time Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technologist for its laboratory. The position works the night shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The technologist performs and reports laboratory procedures accurately to meet physicians’ needs and expectations and provide quality patient care.

Requirements

• MT or MLT certification, registration, or licensure through ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HHS.
• At least one year of experience as an MLT or MT.
• High school diploma and a B.S. in Medical Technology or Applied Sciences; two years of experience and an alternate method of obtaining MT may be substituted for the degree.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laboratory experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
