About The Position
St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia, is hiring a full-time Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technologist for its Laboratory. The role is scheduled for the night shift, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The position performs and reports laboratory procedures accurately to meet physicians’ needs and expectations and support quality patient care. St. Mary’s Health Care System is part of Trinity Health. The system includes three hospitals, physician practices, a medical residency program, and outpatient services. Requirements
- MT or MLT certification, registration, or licensure through ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HHS.
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of experience as an MLT or MT.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laboratory experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- A B.S. in Medical Technology or Applied Sciences is listed as an education option; two years of experience and an alternate method of obtaining MT may be substituted for the degree.
