Medical Technologist
About The Position
The Medical Technologist will exercise professional judgment in the performance and interpretation of laboratory tests while following established procedures, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. This role allows for assuming lead responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor. The technologist is expected to perform and interpret standard, complex, and specialized tests, and possess an understanding of quality assurance sufficient to implement and monitor quality control programs. This position will work in a Generalist role within the Chemistry, Hematology & Blood Bank departments.
Requirements
- MT /MLS with preferred ASCP certification
- BS degree in biological science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience; and ASCP certification
- Certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) through HEW
- Already functioning as an MT within HVHS (Grandfathered) as of June 2004
