About The Position

To independently perform and report laboratory findings in accordance with policies and procedures of The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations to facilitate quality patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Certification at the Medical Technologist level (ASCP, AMT, or Equivalent) or Bachelor's degree and categorical certification consistent with the work performed: C, H, I, BB, M (ASCP).
1 year clinical laboratory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory principles, testing methodologies, instrumentation, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in laboratory information systems and standard computer applications.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform and report laboratory findings independently.

Comply with FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations.
Facilitate quality patient care.
Perform and evaluate complex laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.

Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Troubleshoot technical issues.
Maintain quality and patient safety standards.
Provide training and guidance to students and new staff.
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment.
