About The Position
The Medical Technologist performs a wide range of laboratory tests that support accurate diagnoses, treatment decisions, and patient care. Working with advanced laboratory equipment and a collaborative clinical team, the role helps ensure timely, reliable results while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position is full-time on days at a hospital laboratory in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technologist in a hospital laboratory setting, including Blood Bank experience.
- Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain it within the first week of employment.
Nice To Haves
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment.
- Analyze, verify, and manage laboratory data.
- Maintain quality control standards and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver timely, accurate results.
