About The Position

This is a temporary position for a Medical Technologist / MLT in a laboratory setting. The role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing biological specimens, managing laboratory workload, and ensuring accurate result entry into the laboratory information system. Responsibilities also include preparing reagents, maintaining supplies and inventory, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments. There may be a need to provide backup support to the phlebotomy team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of MLT experience.
• Experience with Sunquest and Epic.
• Experience with Ortho Blood Bank and Chemistry.
• Experience with Siemens coagulation and urinalysis.
• Experience with Sysmex hematology.
• Active ASCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens.
• Set up testing procedures and manage laboratory workload.
• Evaluate patient and quality-control results and enter results into the laboratory information system.
• Follow critical result notification procedures.
• Prepare and maintain reagents and laboratory supplies.
• Maintain inventory and safely dispose of biohazardous and chemical materials.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Provide backup support to the phlebotomy team, including venipuncture and culture collection.
