This is a part-time, second shift position requiring weekend work only, with three rotating holidays per year. The role involves 10-hour days and is responsible for performing, evaluating, and monitoring laboratory tests, managing workflow, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of results. The position also includes instrument maintenance, quality control, specimen collection, and providing technical assistance and training to other staff. The Medical Technologist will perform specialty testing in various laboratory areas and provide direct support to critical care departments, including during high acuity patient events. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care.
