About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a travel assignment with an ASAP start. This position requires working night shifts.
Requirements
- Current ASCP or AMT certification required.
- AHA BLS certification must be obtained prior to the assignment.
- Ability to wear any color scrubs as required.
Nice To Haves
- Blood bank experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Universal Precautions standards.
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate dependability and responsibility, including attendance and punctuality.
- Perform venipuncture skillfully.
- Conduct daily quality control and maintenance per established guidelines.
- Complete testing in a timely and concise manner.
- Operate and troubleshoot Chemistry, Urinalysis (UA), Hematology, and Coagulation analyzers.
- Engage in Blood Bank Testing, including type, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and quality control.
- Perform miscellaneous testing such as serological, microscopic, and microbiological testing.
- Maintain courtesy and professional conduct with patients, lab staff, physicians, and other employees.
- Communicate effectively, sharing important information with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ensure overall quality of performance and conduct in the workplace.
